ABC overview

Thomas Höbart

Our daily efforts exemplify how
efficiency and expertise can be dovetailed
perfectly with a socially responsible approach!

Our team has striven single-mindedly for over 40 years to make our customers more successful. During this time, we have emerged as one of the most innovative and leading contract manufacturers in Austria - an achievement made possible thanks to the expertise of our disabled and non-disabled employees, respectful human relations and remaining customer-focused in all we do.

The environment is just as important to us - which is why we produce with the most resource-efficient technologies. Outsourcing selected production processes in a targeted manner paves the way for our customers to focus on their own core skills and reduce their costs and risk into the bargain.

We think we’re on the right track with this mission - as amply evidenced by the numerous prizes and other honours received to date. They also spur us on to even greater efforts; constantly going all-out to give our customers something even better. We view Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as a quest to take up the mantle of social responsibility within society on behalf of our owners and harness it while engaging in our daily work.

What was happening to us since 1980?

1980 In December 1980, the company "ABC Service & Produktion Integrativen Betrieb GmbH" is entered in the commercial register and starts production at the Klagenfurt site with 50 employees on January 1, 1981. Ever since, ABC has been at the centre of Carinthia's integrative operations. 80 percent of the workforce is excluded from the general labour market due to the nature or severity of their disability.
1980–1984 Over the next four years, the company expands and rolls out two further production sites in Villach and Wolfsberg. The number of employees also rises over this period to 180. By this time, the company has already more than made its name as a contract manufacturer in the metal and wood processing industry.
1994 In 1994, the company was ISO 9001 certified, making it the first integrative enterprise in Europe with a certified management system.
1998–2008 Strong expansion has seen space filled to capacity at all locations over the years. The locations in Klagenfurt, Villach and Wolfsberg are reconstructed and fitted out with state-of-the-art equipment.
2002 At the Klagenfurt site, an ISO 6 clean room meeting the DIN EN ISO 14644-1 and measuring 300 m² is constructed.
2015 A new business area in the industrial textile processing field is established at the Klagenfurt site
